Job Requisition ID #23WD68041Position Overview Autodesk seeks a strong engineering leader for Enterprise Data teams. Our teams design and maintain customer data services and pipelines, ensuring their reliability, timely delivery, and accuracy for internal operational and analytical systems. Your experience implementing API services and data pipelines is critical, as is providing guidance in building a team of talented, kind, cooperative, and productive individuals for the larger Enterprise Data Management (EDM) organization. This opportunity may involve some hands-on work but is primarily focused on making sure teams are operating effectively and efficiently. This role reports to Sr. Engineering Manager of EDM, with opportunity for growth. Your experience and counsel are critical to our success, and the success of your direct reports.  You will collaborate with Product Managers, Program/Project managers, Architects, Operations, and the Engineering Team to ensure consistent engineering process and the delivery of software using modern, scalable methods. Communication skills are critical, and you must be comfortable distilling complex technical information to non-technical audiences. Additionally, you will be expected to bring out the best in your direct reports by situationally engaging with them and coaching them to success. You will be supported by others in your efforts to provide a highly collaborative, open, and trusted environment. In this role you will be expected to operate with minimal direction, demonstrate an accountable attitude, and be a trusted technical leader. Responsibilities Technical leadership and ownership of existing Customer Data scope, services, and pipelines Building/hiring a team of highly collaborative and effective engineers as needed Collaborative vision setting of the customer data domain Contributions to the design and implementation of APIs, services, and data pipelines Creation, reporting, and review of team health metrics to improve delivery and to balance prosperity for individuals, teams, and Autodesk Mitigation of emergent technical and non-technical challenges Partnering with stakeholders to understand requirements for software/data architecture and implementations Ensuring testing of solutions, validating they perform according to specifications and requirements Providing situational/contextual mentorship in service of team and career growth   Minimum Qualifications Strong experience in software engineering with a focus across layers of cloud services and/or data engineering and pipelines Expert communication and collaboration skills, understanding how to tailor your message to your audience Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading individuals towards common goal Ability to fully understand a feature across all application layers from inception Ability to review and question detailed architecture artifacts (L1 / L2 diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc.) Experience building and deploying applications with AWS Experience implementing CI/CD and familiarity TDD/BDD. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $139,100 and $225,060. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
