PageWide Web Press Factory Validation EngineerDescription -Overview:  The PageWide Web Press business of HP designs, builds, ships, and installs large, complex inkjet printing presses to print service provider customers. This Factory Validation Engineer role is responsible for the quality, validation, and on-time shipment of manufactured equipment.Responsibilities:Partner with third party OEM to serve as a link between the HP organization and the factory.Delegate daily tasks amongst a small team of technicians.Drive improvement and deployment of integration and validation processes required to retain quality and efficiency.Track and report factory quality issues. Curate and optimize metrics to drive continuous improvement and reduce test time.Function as a product expert for all manufactured equipment with a thorough understanding of all subsystems.Interface with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Procurement teams to ensure factory schedule adheres to planned production.Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and report out on product and manufacturing defects applying an engineering problem solving approach.Provide remote and onsite support to field installation teams.Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Mechanical/Industrial)2-4 years’ experience in an OEM manufacturing environmentExperience with systems testing and quality controlExtensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and roll handling systemsAbility to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics/drawingsSkilled in Microsoft Office, Power BI, SharePointSkilled in Linux and DOS with an understanding of fiber optic and networking systemsStrong troubleshooting skillsAbility to use digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power monitoring equipment.Ability to work independently, but also to collaborate effectively with a teamAbility to multi-task and adapt to change to work through changing prioritiesAbility to work in an industrial environment as well as confined spaces.
