To continue our market leadership, HP will continue to innovate and modernize the printing experience.  You will work closely with talented engineers/analysts and help solve interesting problems for HP’s pioneering first-of-its-kind Instant Ink subscription service that is currently in rapid scale-up mode, for BI, CRM and advanced analytics use cases. The team is scaling incorporating Agile ways of working as we build and deploy on AWS based platform and integrated lake house architecture.This Sr Data Visualization Engineer role within the Instant Ink Data Engineering organization will have a passion for telling stories with data, developing insight through visualization, and enabling self-service, data exploration, and discovery. The Engineer will participate in the strategic design, development, implementation, and support of data and technology components to further mature HP Print – Instant Ink and Printer as a Service Business analytics needs.You are passionate about delivering business value by aligning Business analytic systems to the organization's strategic objectives.  A Critical thinker with sound judgment and decision-making abilities. A skilled communicator able to facilitate discussion at all levels of the organization and develop a sound business understanding to help derive meaningful insights from the data A relationship builder, flexible in your approach to designing to solutions that solve business problems.ResponsibilitiesPartner with other BI Engineers and team members to design, develop, and support semantic layers.Develop, and expand self-service capabilities with interactive dashboards, reports, and other visualizations.Working closely with Data Engineers and Data Analysts to apply advanced technical experience and knowledge to develop, maintain, and monitor complex and critical BI data sources and integration processes.Provide support and issue resolution by analyzing issues, discovering root-cause, and providing alternative long-term solutions.Develop expertise of Data sources, Business logic and KPIs for Subscription business.Identify and implement solutions to enhance existing BI infrastructure, processes, and technology.Collaborate with subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and requirements to support the business solution.Participate in the full development lifecycle, from developing business requirements to change management processes and ensuring changes are correctly tested and migrated to production.Partner on data modeling and implementation process for new data products.Provide successful outcomes by Root Cause Analysis in resolution of break fixes.Partner with Program Management to track progress and issue resolution for Promotion ticket requestsUnderstand Logical and Physical data modeling best practices and techniquesLeverage the prowess of data warehousing and visualization to inform product strategyKnowledge and SkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 6 years of hands-on SQL experience with BI delivery initiatives for data warehouses and reporting/analytic tools. using industry standards3+ years of Implementation, development, and support experience with Data Visualization tool, ideally with Microsoft Power BI3+ years of experience in working with Cloud based DW such as Redshift, Snowflake OR OnPrem based DW such as Teradata, Vertica etc.Strong understanding of data structures and algorithmsDatabase architecture testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.Knowledge and experience building and designing business intelligence solutions from a technical and business perspectiveKnowledge and experience of relational and dimensional modeling, data warehousing concepts, and methodologies.Fluent in complex, distributed and massively parallel systems.Database architecture testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.Nice to HaveExperience in coding languages like Python.Experience in Visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker etc.Experience in Big Data technologies like Databricks, Spark etc.HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:•  Dental insurance•  Disability insurance•  Employee assistance program•  Flexible schedule•  Flexible spending account•  Health insurance•  Life insurance  Per the Washington statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in Vancouver, at the time of this posting, is $130,500 to $159,500.  This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.#LI-POSTJob -SoftwareSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -NoRelocation -YesEEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
