Delivery Technical ConsultantDescription -The key function of the role is to provide professional implementation Services and Consulting on both HP and non-HP printing technology. The Delivery Technical Consultant (DTC) will be expected to deliver hardware/ software (HW/SW) installation, customizations and integration services. Responsible for optimizing customer's environment according to client’s business needs.  Must be able to understand client's needs and transform them into HP or HPs/partner capabilities. The DTC has full responsibility in leading technical implementation/optimization/integration within time and budget.  Will drive customer technical acceptance and will typically work in virtual teams e.g., with Project Manager, Presales Consultant. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.ObjectivesTo work within virtual teams to provide multi-vendor technical consulting, installation and support services to our customers. Become the technical advisor for Managed Print Services (MPS) customers. Act as a single point of contact for technical purposes during the roll out and ongoing Customer engagement and ensure the project is implemented within pre-set objectives and budgets. Be assigned and responsible on different MPS customers during contracts duration.Responsibilities/ActivitiesDelivery Activities:  Responsible for implementing part or all of the technical solutions to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical design delivered by Solution Architect/Presales Team.Deploy print management solutions to a range of Office Printing equipmentProvide input on technical project planContributes to knowledge tools and communities and ensures project learnings are documented and shared.Conduct solutions plan, design and test activitiesManage relationships with any 3rd party installation partnersProvide technical escalation management through to divisionsContribute to formal technical escalations (from a technical perspective)Technical implementation/integration on time and pre-agreed budget and within contractual parametersReview/Seek approval from 3rd Party Solutions.Uses professions to meet the relevant certification and professional standards.Produces internally published material such as knowledge briefs, service delivery kit components or work instructions to installation partners.Conduct pre-requisite activities for Remote Monitoring / printing solutionsAssist in resolving silent printer device issues (from a technical perspective)3rd party technical evaluation/coordination/integrationJoint Technical lead throughout deploymentConduct pre-deployment site survey (if required)Assist with Remote Monitoring reporting capabilitiesWork on customers site when required and for specific project gates or meetingsProvide consultancy around systems integration issuesMindsetExcellent customer relationship skillsPositive approach to challenges technical issuesTime flexibilityConsultative approachFocus on outcomes – high customer satisfaction, project delivery timescales metDrive to ensure project timelines are kept and deployment of MPS is rapid and reliantA can-do attitude and a growth mindsetTeam playerEducation and Experience Required:Imaging and Printing software, infrastructure, and integrationExperience in outsourcing, managed services and professional servicesIndustry qualifications relevant to role, in-house or industry body i.e., CompTiaKnowledge and Skills Required:Experience with enterprise class print management solutions such as HP AC, HP AV, Safecom, Equitrac, LRS, PaperCut Uniflow etcExperience with HP Tolling’s WJAHands on - technical experience in services areaImaging and Printing technology experiencePrint queue and driver management.Expertise in simple database setup MS SQLMicrosoft: Windows Server/Print Servers, Active Directory, SQL Server, SQL Management Studio, WindowsInstallation and configuration of, software applications, print drivers etc. in a Microsoft Windows environment.Good networking understanding: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, NAT,Proxy, Load balancing, SMTP, SNMP, Active Directory, LDAPCloud environments and their impact on Print management solutions – AWS/MS azureBasics of scripting: Visual Basic, Shell/CMD, PowerShellSecurity: Certificates, Encryption, HTTPS/IPPS, OAuth/OpenID Connect, Role Based Access ControlVirtualization: VMware, Hyper-V (MS) – previous experience with virtualization technologies and server & storage hardware.Understanding the concepts of Cloud: Azure / AWS: Deploying servers & software in cloud environmentsTravel - Yes, up to 30% of the timeJob -ServicesSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United Kingdom)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
