Head of Crisis, Issues & Policy CommunicationsDescription -Head of Crisis, Issues & Policy Communications Description: We are looking for a strong communications leader to join the HP Corporate Communications team. This role will oversee crisis communications and issues management, partnering closely with colleagues across the company to mitigate risk and protect HP’s reputation. The role will also partner closely with HP’s Government Affairs and Public Policy team to develop integrated communications strategies and engagement plans that advance the company’s objectives with key audiences.The ideal candidate is experienced navigating complex global business issues, has strong judgement and executive presence, demonstrates superb writing skills and media relations capabilities, and brings a rigorous approach to communications strategy, planning and execution.This is a prominent global role within HP’s Corporate Affairs function and will work closely with teams across the company on a wide range of important topics. Implement new tools and processes that foster best-in-class crisis communications practices.Develop integrated plans with Government Affairs & Public Policy team to advance key objectives.Manage media inquiries on sensitive topics, while closely monitoring the trajectory of issues in tradition/social media to mitigate risk and protect HP’s reputation.Drive a more proactive approach to identifying emerging issues that may impact HP in the future.Keep senior executives regularly informed on key topics, messaging and actions.Cultivate strong, trusted cross-functional relationships on behalf of Corporate Affairs.Manage team in support of the company’s crisis, issues and policy communications priorities.Qualifications: At least 10-12 years of corporate communications experience in crisis or reputation management areas, either agency or in-house. Public sector experience a plus, but not required. Strong business acumen, global mindset, and the ability to simplify complexity / solve problems.
