HP One Power & Performance ArchitectDescription -We are growing our highly skilled HP One team with the addition of a Power & Performance Architect who's a recognized authority on personal computer technologies, theories, and techniques. At our core is doing what is right to delight our customers with industry leading PC clients and succeeding in an everchanging world.Responsibilities: Develops architectures and methodologies for electrical hardware design and development across multiple platforms and organizations within HP's Personal Systems business unit.Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmaps and business value; creates plans for integration and updates into architectures.Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; integrates suggestions, updates, and innovations into overall architecture and leads platform architecture process across business.Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of electrical hardware design and development innovation and excellence.Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.Typically 10+ years experience.Knowledge and Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience in overall architecture of electronic hardware for PC products and solutions.Designing and integrating electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms into overall architecture.Evaluating, proposing, and selecting forms of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and thermal/emissions management to be used across the organization.History of innovation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in EnglishAbility to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:• Dental insurance• Disability insurance• Employee assistance program• Flexible schedule• Flexible spending account• Health insurance• Life insurance Per the Washington State statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location, at the time of this posting, is $180,000 - $220,000 .
