Product EngineerDescription -Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitating information validation and team decision-making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.Responsibilities: Provide resolution and implement engineering solutions to product/manufacturing issueEngage R&D and Product Development to enable New Product Introductions and ExtensionsIdentify the risks early in the program and determine the test methods needed to characterize the product to ensure we meet the end-customer needs.  This is especially true in any product or process NUD’sThroughout the program, characterize the product to ensure we understand the risks and what it would take to address the risksDrive Product Qualification processesDrive and implement a strong Product Quality SystemOwn the form, fit, and function of HP Printhead and drive Change ManagementEngage and drive solutions across the HP value chains team such as Process Engineering, Supply Chain, Tech Support as well as Production, to improve Manufacturing Line Productivity, Yield, and QualityConceptualize, Develop and Deliver solutions to simplify processes and deliver Cost Reduction out of the OperationsEducation and Experience Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology or manufacturing-related engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical or Material Engineering.Typically 4-6 years experience.Knowledge and Skills: Possess a good understanding of manufacturing processes, methodologies, and environment, preferably have experience working in a fast pace and high-volume electronics product manufacturing environmentStrong leadership and organization skillsExcellent Analytical, Problem Solving and Project Management skillsGood Understanding of Quality Assurance & Process Control KnowledgeExcellent team player, interpersonal and communication skillAble to work well under Stress, both internally and across functionsFast learner, Proactive and Self-driven characterTechnically inclined and Hands-on personalityFluent in English both spoken and writte#LI-POSTJob -EngineeringSchedule -Full timeShift -No Shift premium (Malaysia)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
