Engineering Manager - Cloud SystemsDescription -Responsible for designing, developing and managing activities for a specific software product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Individuals in these roles may have responsibilties across multiple software engineering disciplines oh which the goal is development of creative, industry-leading, software services and solutions.Responsibilities:Leads the builds of various software engineering projects and platforms while aligning them with business and security strategies and requirements.Builds standards, designs, and automates the deployment of software.Strategically partners with stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.Translates functional plans into operational processes and guides execution.Leads portions of the planning and execution of multiple complex projects or programs in support of the continuing evolution of the organization's software products.Partners with cross-functional software development teams to help them prioritize, plan, track and execute complex, cross organizational programs.Knowledge & Skills:Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Ability to manage human capital across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills.Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.Strong communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language.Scope & Impact:Decisions impact others in the immediate team and influences methods and techniques.Impacts efficiencies and delivery times across all software teams, takes responsibility for the quality of deliveries.Proactively and effectively interacts and partners across different departments within and outside the software engineering function.Complexity:High: Extensive cross-functional/cross-organizational senior management interface; deals with complex strategic issues.Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories, and techniques.
