Infrastructure and Security EngineerDescription -The HP Security Organization is seeking a passionate and experienced Infrastructure Security Engineer to help us grow the maturity of the software and services underpinning everything HP makes today and in the future. We strive to go beyond just identifying security vulnerabilities and flaws by helping teams fix issues before they are live in production and automatically preventing security problems during the development process to eliminate entire classes of vulnerabilities.Responsibilities:Manage core system infrastructure end to endWork closely with Regional PMs to support factories/ODMs/partners as technical representativeDevelop and manage Server Setup process for software installation servers worldwideProvide escalation support from help desk, factories, labs, and partners, for issues related to tools, installation, connectivity, and infrastructureProvide solution within defined Service Level Agreement (SLA) and assist in issue resolution or escalation if neededDefine and measure metrics to optimize resultsEnsure support processes are documented and followedDefine and implement improvements as neededTravel will be required for up to 25% of the regular working scheduleManage core system infrastructure end to endWork closely with DaaS Supply-Chain team and/or Regional PMs to support factories/ODMs/partners as technical representativeEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldAt least 5 years of relevant experience in which 3 years is customer-facing positions as a professional services consultant or engineer.Strong in infrastructure architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments, including failover techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning.Strong practical Windows and Linux systems administration skills.Excellent knowledge in computer server / desktop architectures.Familiarity with systems management concepts, processes, and standards (e.g., SNMP); capacity/performance management and tuning; and storage and network management.Understanding of modern IT production data center and Internet (ISP/ASP) hosting operations.Experience in Microsoft SQL Server and related technologies.Hands on experience with router / switch / firewall configuration and maintenance is a plusSQL, VBScript, and PowerShell scripting ability a plus.Microsoft, and VMWare Data Center Virtualization and Network Virtualization credentials preferredProject management credentials preferredSkills RequirementsExcellent people skills.
