R&D Hardware Systems EngineerDescription -As a member of the Printer R&D Hardware Systems team, you will have the opportunity to apply your engineering knowledge to solve challenging electro-mechanical system problems. You will work with global multi-disciplinary R&D teams to optimize the interactions between mechanical, electrical, and fluidic systems in order to deliver the overall product performance required to meet customer needs.  The ideal candidate has a passion for solving hard problems and is an advocate for the customer.Responsibilities:Design algorithms and solutions to deliver optimal print quality and product performance to meet defined customer requirements.Design and implement test plans to characterize and evaluate behavior of complex electro-mechanical systems.Work with cross-discipline internal and outsourced partners to develop reliable, cost effective, and high-quality solutions.Education and Experience Required:Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering disciplineTypically, 0-4 years of experienceKnowledge and Skills:Statistical analysis and statistical software packages (e.g JMP, etc)Programming languages such as Python, C+, VB.Net, etc.Design, development, and validation of mechanical system control algorithmsProblem solving, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of electro-mechanical systemsStrong ability to collaborate with both local and worldwide partnersStrong written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with 3D CAD software is preferred.HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:•  Dental insurance•  Disability insurance•  Employee assistance program•  Flexible schedule•  Flexible spending account•  Health insurance•  Life insurance Per the Washington statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in Vancouver, at the time of this posting, is $81,000 to $98,100.  This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.#LI-PJob -EngineeringSchedule -Full timeShift -Shift 1, 0% premium (United States of America)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
