Energetic in your advocacy for clear, concise content?GxD CS is seeking a Lead Content Strategist experienced in developing content strategies based on the business objectives and user needs. Candidate must be able to translate strategies into planning, execution, and optimization of content on websites, apps, portals, and other digital experiences. Additionally, this proven strategist must be able to gather key business and user insights and create a long-term vision for the HP’s content needs.In addition to developing brand standards that other writers, designers, and partners will follow, they are also strong leaders comfortable guiding large, highly complex projects through research, concepting, prototyping, validation, and development. Their content strategy is based on user research, data-driven insights, and understanding of what content works best for which channel. The Lead Content Strategist is a persuasive storyteller, exemplifies creative vision with the ability to see the big picture, and considered a subject matter expert.Responsibilities:Lead the development and execution of holistic content strategies.Ability to take a comprehensive and strategic approach to storytelling, tying together big ideas/concepts in ways that engage customers, innovative, and authentic to the HP.Ability to participate in creative concepting cross-functionally and then be able to present ideas persuasively in a clear, strong point-of-view that aligns with business and user experience objectives.Oversee content requirements and create a clear content strategy framework with deliverables across the life cycle of projects, leading the effort end-to-end. This includes everything from content audits/gap analyses, to developing content strategies and roadmaps that align to stated business objectives.Create and maintain editorial calendars, content playbooks, voice/tone guides, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, content guidelines and management, and content migration plans for clients.Participate in actual content creation with team members, including but not limited to deliverables such as content matrices, copy deck management, and editorial guidelines.Indirectly manage and lead a team of UX writers as well as third-party agencies when appropriate, managing content budgets, assisting in business development, and be involved in the technical integration of content.Develop lightweight, repeatable processes, workflows, and content templates that keep the team nimble and successful in a culture that values moving fast and iterating quicklyWork closely with other teams and partners to deliver a cohesive, collaborative, and consistent customer experience.Education and Experience Required:Four-year degree in English, Writing, Journalism, Literature, Communications, Marketing, or related fieldsuch as Psychology, Human Computer Interaction or equivalent and a minimum of 10 to 12 years of related experience.Knowledge and Skills:Experience in Content Strategy, Copywriting, UX writing, or related fieldCollaborative, communicative, organized, and personableGreat presentation skills (to internal teams, leadership, and clients)A mix of big picture thinking and detail-oriented executionProactive and go-getter mentality (with business development, process improvement, operations, client work, etc.)Can be operational focused as needed (developing/refining processes, hiring/shifting team members, and improvingProven track record that enables them to confidently work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teamsTechnology platform experience preferred and Content Management System a bonusAgency experience preferred (including experience across a variety of verticals, as well as B2B and B2C experience)Please include a link to samples of your work that show experience developing content strategies and executing elements of those strategies.
