Our Legal team is a key enabler to HP’s strategic vision to create technology that inspires ambitious and meaningful progress.About the role As Senior Counsel, Global Employee Benefits, you will be a member of HP's worldwide Employment Law Team and report to the Associate General Counsel, Global Head of Employment Law. The ideal candidate considers legal and reputational risk as well as operational considerations for a large employer, and provides clear advice to clients, analyzes legal problems and conducts thorough legal research, can manage and prioritize their workload efficiently without excessive supervision, and is skilled in interacting and communicating clearly with human resources and finance professionals, other legal colleagues, and internal clients at all levels.The attorney in this position is expected to establish and maintain credibility and trust with clients, business stakeholders, other legal team members and colleagues. Also, stay current and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations; counsel on risk mitigation; track industry trends that impact the company; supervise, manage and evaluate outside counsel; educate clients and stakeholders; and otherwise lead and independently handle matters and projects ranging from the basic to the complex; recognizing when to elevate certain matters to the attention of the Associate General Counsel.
