Technical Presales Program ManagerDescription -GCSS Technical Presales Consultant (or “TC” in Short) play a crucial role as a trusted advisor to our business partners, distributors, Business Development Managers and Partner Business Managers by providing technical answers and recommendations plus consultancy and advice.Technical Presales Program Manager (or Program Manager) is a critical role in the Technical Presales organization for running cross functional programs and projects from initiation to delivery to support the evolution of the technical presales function and help build new capabilities needed for the business. The Presales Technical Program Manager leads and or provides expertise to new presales programs, tools or portals developed for the channel partners or maintain current ones. The program manager may manage relations with external software development or platform providers. The program manager acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. The programs or projects led by the program manager ensure better business coverage and supports the development of a technical community among the partners while creating awareness of the presales services among relevant channel partner, distributors and internal teams.ResponsibilitiesLeads portions of the planning and execution of multiple complex projects or programs in support of the continuing evolution of the technical presales function for the channel.Partners with cross-functional channel program management teams, technical presales teams at different support levels (1LS, 2LS, 3LS), product marketing teams, GBU resources and possible external software vendors to help them prioritize, plan, track and execute complex, cross organizational programs.Creates presentations on the scope and status of the programs and may present to senior managersPerforms program analysis, manages risk, identifies and influences necessary course corrections, and communicates program status and activities across multiple levels of management.Continuously assesses and improves the processes within the presales technical consultant team and makes suggestions to better align with the dynamic business environment.Manages risks and resolves issues that affect release, scope, schedule, and quality of highly visible, complex programs.Education and Experience RequiredBachelor's or master’s degree preferably in engineering or in a different relevant areaTypically 2-3 years of project or program management experience in services, consulting, or other technical fields or experience in technical presales consulting.Knowledge and SkillsDemonstrates an in-depth understanding of key Presales Consulting processes and function in the channel organization applicable to Program Management.Understands software development and fundamental IT conceptsAnalytical and problem-solving experiences with large-scale systems.Hands-on experience with developing and reporting on metricsPast experience with Lifecycle Services, MPS or Channel Partner Programs is a plus.Speaks with authority to most layers of depth related to project management methods.Comprehensive experience in managing projects using agile practices.Expertise managing cross-organizational projects from initiation through delivery.Has excellent communications, organizational and team skillsDemonstrates ability to stay focused on goals and objectivesPMP certification is a plus.Near native or highly proficient in both spoken and written English (minimum C1: Common European Framework of Reference )#LI-POSTJob -ServicesSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (Spain)Travel -NoRelocation -Not SpecifiedEEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
