This team provides deep technical & regulatory experience to guide and influence cross-functional innovation to ensure customers can and want to purchase HP Products and Services because they are safe, legally compliant, and sustainable. This dynamic and challenging role provides a great opportunity to work with colleagues across R&D, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Government Relations.Ideal candidates have robust leadership skills to coach and develop a diverse global team, combined with a strong passion to make a difference in the world. This role requires the ability to coach upward – helping build the business case for sustainable design and leading-edge regulatory compliance. Utilizing the Design for Sustainability (DfS) framework, you will lead product stewards who are focused on supporting product design, product continuously compliance, product sustainability leadership attributes through circular materials, product labeling, chemical choices, and recyclability. In addition to designing safer and more sustainable products, the team also partners with business teams to create a strong go-to-market strategy and drive customer preference for HP products and services.You will evaluate and analyze regulatory and customer insights to inform future consumer and enterprise product and business model designs and influence HP’s business leaders to take action and make investments. You will need to shift your focus regularly from wide angle lens to narrow and deep focus while coaching your employees and management team. As a member of the Sustainable Impact & Compliance (SI&C) leadership team, you will help define and execute HP’s overall Sustainable Impact strategy and achievement of our SI 2030 Goals.Responsibilities: Protect HP’s reputation by ensuring current products meet regulatory and market access requirements as products, supply chains, and requirements change.Partner with R&D to enable DfS - design for sustainability as part of framework for new product innovations.Lead the stewards and domain experts in supporting HP 2030 Sustainable Impact programs and ensuring that HP maintains a leadership position across the industry and with our customers.Partner with business teams to integrate sustainability in marketing framework on strategy, communication flow, processes.Respond to customer, government, and key stakeholder inquiries.Continuously improve Product Stewardship processes, data automation, and tools to improve quality and operational excellence.Inspire the team to work across complex and often ambiguous emerging regulatory frameworks that may impact product design or market access.Develop the team with deep technical, regulatory, and customer knowledge/insights to proactively influence the business unit leadership. Thrive the team culture by sharing, supporting, encouraging.Network across HP functions and business units to innovate, discover, and deploy compliance and sustainable impact solutions.Serve as a trusted 1:1 advisor to multiple Business and Functional executives.Education and Experience Required: Degree in engineering, sciences, operations or environmental related field with the ability to quickly understand and distill/communicate highly technical issues to a varied audience.Proven success as a team and program leader.Experience in Product Development, Operations, Supply Chain, or Business roles; familiarity with product development and manufacturing processes.Strong Negotiation and Influencing skills: able to build solid network of partners / teammates. Able to build up a strong reputation and become a trusted partner.Strong program management skills.Experienced in managing human capital across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language.Desired Experience Solid business acumen with an understanding of HP's financial systems and business concepts, along with budget management experience.Familiarity with HP’s Ink and LaserJet technologies across hardware and supplies.Customer presence and experience.Familiarity / understanding of competitive technologies, especially around EHS and other sustainability attributes.Strong understanding of HP's policies and processes.HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePer the California and Washington statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location, at the time of this posting, is USD $133,627 – $163,322 Annual.
