Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job functionRole Specifics:  Personal Systems is the leader in PC Sales across the globe.  To help drive continued success we are looking to hire a new team member for the Long Term Forecasting Team (M+12) within the Commercial Organization (CO) Operations group.   Primary focus area will be the Long Term Forecast for Commercial Notebooks.   You will drive the monthly planning process employing various analytical modeling (Market Sizing, Historical Trends, Business/Financial goals, Statistical Forecasting, Bass Diffusion modeling, etc).  Output of the model will be aligned across key PS stakeholders (Business Management, CO Marketing, GBU Marketing/Strategy, Supply Chain, CO Ops Planning team, etc), reflecting strategic targets/initiatives.Responsibilities: Manages complex data and business analyses to develop business plans and make recommendations.Works independently to construct complex statistical and financial models to forecast business performance.Defines the metrics required to measure business performance, compares actual data to forecasted values, and develops the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps.Manages complex, time- sensitive projects and synthesizes data and information to identify relevant outcomes and next steps.Works with cross-functional teams across the entire span of business planning activities.Contributes to priority projects with complex analyses and assists in developing recommendations.Works closely with business leaders to develop business plans based on historical and forecasted data and reports.Develops go-forward business plan recommendations based on potential risks and returns.Identifies cutting-edge analytical tools, models, and methods for making key business decisions.Education and Experience Required: Typically 10+ years experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area.
