Desktop Workstation Business Operations Manager for R&DDescription -DescriptionHP’s vision and promise are to engineer experiences that amaze.  HP continues to deliver ground-breaking new technologies to build on our 80-year legacy of innovation, with the heart, creativity, and energy of a start-up, and the brain, muscles, and determination of a Fortune 100 corporation.As part of HP’s Advance Compute Solution (ACS) team, the Desktop Workstation (DTWS) R&D team is responsible for the end-to-end development of the HP Desktop Z Workstations, which are among the highest performant computing systems in the industry. This role is to lead the operations of the global DTWS R&D organization, which spans the US and Asia.  This role is focused on the financials and operations of the R&D team.  You would be responsible for coordinating with the R&D teams to roll up their projected spend and headcount to then tie out with finance to close on yearly budgets, also providing ongoing updates throughout the year.  As the operations manager, you would be integral to team communications and assist in coordinating meetings and R&D initiatives.  Additionally, your role would be to lead process improvements in the R&D organization to give the team the tools they need to operate as efficiently as possible.  You would be responsible for managing the Fort Collins R&D lab operations and the contract workforce that services them.   The desired location for this role is Fort Collins, CO.ResponsibilitiesFundamentalsPromoting and growing a team by driving accountability for results across teams, creating a diverse, inclusive, engaging, and motivating environment, managing talent and performance expectations, and collaborating across internal teams.Creating a learning culture across the team that grows technical leadership and business value capabilities.Operations Manager for R&DWork with R&D teams and finance to establish operational budgets.Track spending and headcount across DTWS R&D teams. Lead team meetings and facilitate intra-team communication.Coordinate cross-team operational initiatives.Improve R&D tools and processes by exploring team needs and building transformational plans.Oversee Fort Collins lab operations.Manage contract workforce providers and related contracts.Education and Experience Required10+ Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.3+ years of program management.3+ years people management/leadership experience required.Knowledge and SkillsStrong communicator with the ability to identify opportunities and influence organizations and individuals to gain support and overcome resistance with data and logic; ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.Superior business acumen, technical knowledge, and industry experience encompassing one or more engineering, technology, and product domains.Excellent people management and staff development skills, including managing teams across geographies and leading change management.Ability to create high-level frameworks and processes to drive strategic and organizational excellence across product teams.Passion for asking and answering questions to challenge and expand the thinking of those around you.HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insuranceIn accordance with Colorado statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location, at the time of this posting, is $135,650- 180,000 This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.Job -EngineeringSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -NoRelocation -YesEEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
