We apply new thinking and ideas to create simpler, more valuable, and trusted experiences with technology, continuously improving the way our customers live and work.Position backgroundIn the Analytics Innovation COE, our mission is to deliver impact by building machine learning products to optimize pricing, marketing investments and provide guidance to our sales organization.Imagine arriving at a retailer to buy HP products to find empty shelves what will you do?  The inventory management team is developing data science algorithms and tools to improve consumer experience and ensure HP maximize returns on inventory.We are looking for a data scientist that can help us make the decisions on how to distribute our inventory today so that it would meet consumer needs in the following weeks (minimize out of stock given fixed supply), minimize aged inventory and ensure inventory is efficiently distributed within the supply chain.We offer an international experience, collaborative culture, top rate data science platform and opportunity to create significant real-world impact.Building advanced forecasting capabilities is a big priority for Analytics and Data Science team and its business counterparts.What you will do Lead the problem solving in the topics of inventory managementIdentify the right methodology and data sources that would need to be incorporated.Develop a platform that would enable inventory management for HP’s products, enabling dynamic allocation to where the best returns areWhat you will need:Bachelor’s in computer engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related fieldTheoretical and applied skills in Machine LearningLanguages: Python or RWho We AreAt HP, we believe in the power of ideas.
