Software Quality Assurance Engineer - Personal SystemsDescription -We are seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented individual who can not only execute established quality assurance and validation procedures and processes, but also to lead efforts to create and innovatively refactor test-related strategies and plans – all in support of achieving our business goals to maintain HP’s number one worldwide position in Personal Systems market share and revenue generation, while prioritizing focus on delighting HP customers.Responsibilities: Maintains and establishes quality and functionality standards for applicable software solutions, in support of HP Supply Chain business and operational objectivesCreates, develops, maintains, and executes software test strategies, protocols, plans, cases, and applicable documentation for specific and assigned deliverables; identifies and debugs, and partners with other engineers to create solutions for issues with code and integration into application architectureAnalyzes and implements established test standards, processes, and procedures as deemed necessary by the organizationAuthors and maintains documentation of test results in accordance with established guidelines (such as ISO27001), that will be used to enabling necessary debugging, corrective action formulation, and appropriate modification of software deliverablesAnalyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solutionConsults with software development and other systems engineers in reproduction, root cause, and resolution of identified issues and problems noted from internal and external customers (including manufacturing partners)May be asked to develop and maintain tools and environments for test automation and Secure-Software Development Lifecycle (S-SDLC) streamlining and efficienciesCollaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolutionMay represent the software systems engineering team during multiple phases of larger and more-complex development projectsProvides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members as deemed appropriateEducation and Experience Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related Engineering, or equivalentminimum 4 years applicable and practical experience in areas noted belowAuthorized to work full-time in the country/region in which the position is to be located and filledKnowledge and Skills: Applicable experience in developing, using, and executing software quality assurance and validation tools and processes, including test script developmentPractical experience in executing within Waterfall and Agile methodologiesStrong understanding of test/validation, coding, and debug approaches, philosophies, methods, and procedures, including the writing and execution of test strategies, plans, debugging, and testing scripts and toolsComfortable and proficient in configuring, installing, and maintaining personal systems (notebooks, workstations, PCs) and networksStrong analysis and problem solving skills in various systems software environments (Operating System, application, virtual and physical)Practical exposure and understanding of software and firmware systems running and interacting on multiple platform typesUnderstanding of C++, C#, Java, Azure AD, microservices, latest .Net framework a significant plusPractical understanding of ISO27001 and industry standard Cyber Security requirements and guidelines a significant plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local languageMust be flexible and willing to work within a global environment and worldwide team, which may require occasional activity and discussions during non-standard business hoursProven effectiveness with self-reliance and self-discipline, team interaction and engagement, and ethical/professional behaviorWhere legally permitted, an offer of employment is conditional upon you providing proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (as defined by the CDC) as of your first day of employment.HP is an equal opportunity employer: https://tbcdn.talentbrew.com/company/3544/v1_0/PDFs/HP%20Inc%20EEO%20Policy%20Statement%202017_Final_signed.pdf#LI-POSTJob -SoftwareSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (Mexico)Travel -Not SpecifiedRelocation -NoEEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
