IT Portfolio PlannerDescription -This position is in the Supply Chain and Finance IT PMO and will report to the Director of the PMO. This position will support the management of all the IT projects that are part of the overall project portfolio. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.Responsibilities: Provides support on the deliverables related to the planning cyclesProvides the overall leadership for portfolio planning and operationsOptimize the project investments in HP IT across all regionsProvides planning leadership in the broader HP IT planning communityMakes significant contributions to planning process improvementsLeadership in the definition and implementation of new agile portfolio planning processesEnsure business value of projects is capturedEnsures effective utilization of resources on projectsManages complex data and business analyses to develop business plans and make recommendations.Works with cross-functional teams across the entire span of business planning activities.Contributes to priority projects with complex analyses and assists in developing recommendations.Contributes to proactive and reactive business planning activities.Education and Experience Required: First level university degree in appropriate discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology) or equivalent required. Master of Business Administration (MBA) strongly preferred.Strong skills in Project Management, Program Management and Process Analysis, and Organizational Change Management. Previous people leadership experience, preferably in a global, cross- functional environmentExperience managing projects and programs using SDLCFacilitation in governance, project reviews, steering, and other project related meetingsStrong focus on collaboration, team building, and customer serviceKnowledge and Skills: Extensive experience with using project and program planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.Experience supporting the end to end Portfolio Planning process in a large enterprise environmentExperience working in a PMO organizationStrong financial acumenAbility to manage change and ambiguity with an action-oriented drive; must thrive in a dynamic environmentExcellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skillsExtensive knowledge of Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modelingStrong project management skills.
