HP Consumer Services spans across both the PC and Print segments and currently spearheaded by our flagship subscription service called HP Instant Ink, with over 10M customers worldwide. With HP Instant Ink, customers never run out of ink, have the flexibility to choose and change plans, and can recycle with ease. HP Instant Ink represents one the company’s top DTC (Direct to Customer) business models and will give you visibility at the highest levels in the company.The Director of Finance will need to have experience in Direct to Consumer business models that are sold as a subscription with recurring revenue streams. We are looking for an experienced finance executive who understands the As-a-Service model, including how to manage the fish impacts, manage CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), review per unit economics of the customer LTV (Lifetime Value) and all metrics associated with a recurring revenue business. Specially, the Director of Finance will lead a large and multifaceted finance team spanning Strategic Planning, Current Business Performance and New Business Models. They will work closely with Business Leaders across Print and Personal System to optimize the deployment of capital and grow the business to meet the company's financial commitments. The Director of Finance will be integral to the growth of Consumer Services and be involved with pricing decisions, supply chain and service delivery optimization, investments, prioritization of capital and cost management. They will be fully accountable for their team's performance and influence strategy and sets policy and direction. This leader will own a significant number of measurable functional, operational and strategic goals or priorities and assume responsibility for the successful implementation of business plans. Contributes to the overall strategic definition of a function with strong business acumen. Prior experience in a subscription and service business as well as strategic ventures, M&A and partnership required for the role.Responsibilities: Accountable for leading an organization of managers and individual contributors for a business function by setting overall initiatives, allocating financial and human capital for programs and projects, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of financial programs across a number of finance disciplines.Responsible for a recurring revenue book of business with focus on ARR, churn rates, average revenue per subscriber, upgrade/downgrade rates, upsell opportunities and attach values.Responsible for setting long term financial objectives of the underlying subscription businesses that are Direct to Customer (DTC) or through the Channel.Align with Controllership on managing the financial hierarchy of the consumer services business, including any required compliance with restatements and segment reportingAlign with Treasury to reflect the cost of work capital and ensure it is properly reflected in the financial results and forecast.Partner with the business team to analyze New Services Introductions and Investments in New Business Models.Work closely with the Accounting team on the implication to revenue recognition from various strategic scenarios and new business models.Weekly reviews with the markets and category to assess the Consumer Services' financial position, determining key levers to help achieve the quarterly forecast and ensure a high level of predictability.Assessment of value creation from different customer offers by subscription plan, market, etc.Prepare M&A opportunity assessments, joint ventures, partnership and financing arrangementsUnderstand the impact of the fish model from changes to new subscribers and cumulative subscribers.Champion the engagement model with business and finance partner organizations including enhancing relationship with the Hardware, Software, Service Delivery and GTM organizationsEstablish design criteria for the financial system and tools to incorporate specific requirements of the service offerings, including bundling of services, cost structure, revenue recognition policies, etc.Prepare and participate in executive reviews, quarterly strategic reviewsDevelops and leads planning, design, implementation, communication, and delivery of the company's finance initiatives within area of accountability across the organization.Leads process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function.Oversees the key controls within one or more domains of responsibility to ensure compliance with legal and accounting requirements (e.g., GAAP, SBC, AFM).Manages large external vendor relationships (e.g., 3rd party financing)Leads implementation of business-wide programs and products.May be responsible for significant dotted-line employee reporting relationships.Ensures that the financial strategies and initiatives within area of accountability are integrated with corporate and business strategies.Coach, develop and mentor more junior finance professionals in the organizationEducation and Experience Required: First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree and/or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) strongly preferred.Typically 12+ years of experience in a finance function or exhibiting an exceptionally strong background in some other relevant and applicable area of business.Typically 4+ years of people management experience.Experience with M&A, joint ventures, partnerships and reviewing financial language in contracts requiredKnowledge and Skills: Superior ability to provide finance consultation to senior managers within area of expertise.Superior understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.Excellent project management and prioritization skills.Excellent people management skills, including managing teams across geographies.Ability to build partnerships across functions.Excellent communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences.Strong leadership and staff development skills.Excellent consulting, influence, and negotiation skills.Job -FinanceSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -25%Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
