The Digital Strategy and Solutions (DSS) group is responsible for spearheading the design and execution of high priority cross-functional digital initiatives and transformation programs, specifically driving large-scale pan-HP services & growth initiatives, developing best-in-class Enterprise Digital Services & APIs, building contemporary digital capabilities (e.g., automation) and driving digital practices such as Agile.Position OverviewAs a Digital Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the build-out and management of a centralized repository of pan-HP Digital Portfolio, including associated programs, projects, spend, tools and resources, aligned with our target-state Enterprise Digital Architecture. This role reports directly to the Head of Digital Portfolio Management, has both strategic and operational accountabilities, and requires extensive partnership with business & functional leaders across HP.You will be expected to support end-to-end activities across 3 focus areas of responsibility: (1) Strategic Planning and Value Creation; (2) Agile Governance and Portfolio Optimization; and (3) Disciplined Financial Management. Fundamental to the success of this role will be the ability to help manage a central repository for the pan-HP Digital Portfolio, with oversight for all associated programs, projects, spend, performance, and reporting, together with the tools, resources, process, and organizational modules required to ensure that the portfolio is focused, efficient, effective, and continuously aligned to and enabling the Target-State Enterprise Digital Architecture. To that end, the role’s remit is global and across all business lines.Responsibilities: Support the development and implementation of a pan-HP business case for all discretionary Digital & technology spend, enabling the capture and articulation of investment opportunities, including all key financial metrics such as ROI, IRR, NPV and payback to senior leadershipSupport the design and implementation of a light-touch, agile and adjustable governance model that is integrated within the existing Delivery teams, program managers, and business governance as well as help support the end-to-end process, including material creation for quarterly performance reviews with each business / functional unit, as well as with HP’s Executive Leadership TeamDraft relevant portfolio insights and trackers and recommend key financial actions to drive towards portfolio & business outcomes and successful delivery of cross-functional initiatives on time & costPartner with business stakeholders to enable opportunity funnel sizing, tracking & reporting of captured value, spend, budgeting and reinvest prospects for these capabilitiesHelp lead a disciplined, collaborative, and transparent annual planning process that is aligned and integrated with the enterprise planning processPartner with delivery team to align on clarity of scope, requirements, owners, and outcomes for all Digital Portfolio projects & key capability initiativesManage Executive Communications on key programs progress and initiatives, including Executive Leadership Team meetings and other senior readoutsConduct monthly portfolio-level financial reviews, and develop all necessary executive-level performance dashboards to enable a 360-degree view on capability & project related status and alert on any key risks and/or mitigation strategiesCollaborate extensively with business unit heads, functions heads and digital architects to identify and leverage opportunities for digital acceleration and fundamentally different and efficient solutioning of business use-casesEducation and Experience Required: 10+ years of post-advanced degree professional experience. Advanced university degree required (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent experience.Experience could be from a top tier management consulting company focused on technology or from a Corporate Digital or Financials roleValidated ability to organize and lead diverse, highly complex projects/programs and ensure effective collaboration and communication across different functional stakeholders spanning multiple geographiesExtraordinary communication and negotiation skills in all mediums and throughout all levels of the organization (e.g., clear and compelling “story”, with accurate insights and well thought out recommendations)Ability to inspire and encourage creative solutioning, achieve rapid business impact through MVPs and incremental delivery, and leveraging external partners where practical.Strong ability to communicate and synthesize business requirements into actionable plans.Effective interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence and align senior executives in an objective manner using fact-based analysis methods.Able to clearly communicate objectives and status to audiences ranging from executive leadership to employees and partnersStrong commercial and program management skillset and experience in driving rigorous tracking in order to drive continuous savings and updated progress reporting to key senior leaders.Ability to create and sustain an environment of teamwork while driving change and delivering exceptional results.Knowledge and Skills: Strategic Planning & Implementation: Orchestrates the development of strategic plans that reflects HP's business strategy to advance market share/penetration and achieve profitable growth.Budget Management & Cost Optimization: Establishes tracks and enforces spending parameters to protect HP's business and assets, and ensures their effective engagement.P&L Management: Sets and manages the business investments and resource allocations essential to ensuring the financial growth & health of the corporation.Vertical Industry Acumen' Develops and exercises a profound understanding of business dynamics within area of control, as a basis for informed business decision making.Workforce Planning' Builds acquisition and development strategies targeted to ensuring workforce readiness, and market opportunity responsiveness.Execution Management' Collaborates effectively with HP BUs and value chain partners to ensure operational responsiveness to challenges, and alignment with business imperativesC-Level Partnering' Contributes to enduring executive relationships that establish HP's consultative professionalism and promotes its total solution capabilities at the highest levels of an organization.Business and Financial Acumen' Exhibits authoritative business and financial acumen o develop meaningful business recommendations.
