Market Analyst and Competitive Intelligence LeadDescription -The US HP.com Category Business Management Team has an exciting opportunity for a role focused on providing business analysis and insights to support decision making and strategic planning activities. This function provides market/customer research insights and develop intelligence to support the US HP.com e-Commerce business growth. Activities include research & analysis of market trends, customer behavior across different segments, competitors strategies & performance, and development of executive level content with insights and strategic recommendations. The person in this role will drive the development of key insights for external and internal factors, including competition, market size and growth, SWOT analyses, evolving customer needs and changes in technology. This position is accountable for providing timely, high-quality strategic customer, competitor and market intelligence to support decision making and strategic planning.Responsibilities: Provide market intelligence such as market sizing analysis and industry trends for product/services/solutions to support business planning and development.Monitor and report on market and industry trends and interpret industry reports to determine applicability for each US HP.com product categories.Develop in-depth analysis and comparisons of key US HP.com e-commerce business metrics/trends versus equivalent KPIs from the US HP Retail business.Identify HP Store business strategy optimization opportunities and communicate recommendations to Category leads and business leadership team.Support the US HP.com Financial Planning & Analysis Manager on business intelligence analysis and recommendations to maximize growth.Evaluate HP’s e-commerce business market penetration, market share, and performance against other online business.Study e-commerce macro & regional trends, provide intelligence and actionable recommendations and insights to enable strategic decisions.Communicate project insights with Market Intelligence team regularly.Education and Experience Required: BA or BS in Marketing; MBA preferred.7+ years marketing and research experience.Project management experience a plus.Knowledge and Skills: Good communication skills. Fluency in English and local language mastery.Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.Ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis.Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to analyze data using Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modelling.Expert knowledge of marketing principles, practices, tactics and tools.Thorough knowledge of research methodologies/practicesAbility to extrapolate future trends from current market and industry data.Familiarity with and/or experience in segment marketing.Excellent written and oral communications skills.Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to effectively collaborate with virtual teams.Ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management and functional disciplines.Strong ability to influence and drive consensus.Job -MarketingSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (Mexico)Travel -25%Relocation -NoEEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
