Sales Compensation & Finance ManagerDescription -Role and ResponsibilitiesWorks independently to construct complex statistical and financial models to trend and forecast business performance at multiple levels based on historical and forecasted data. Develops go-forward business plan recommendations based on potential risks and returns.Defines the metrics required to measure business performance, compares actual data to forecasted values, and develops the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps.Works with cross-functional teams across the business to interview, collect data, analyze and provide recommendations.Manages sales compensation process for sales teams including design, data collection, reporting, auditing and submitting for payment. Manages some inquiries regarding performance and payment.Provides analysis and insight on performance trends, distribution and anomalies; makes recommendations to inform quota setting process.Helps with setting sales agent quota in alignment with operational plan and budget. Provides recommendations to sales leaders regarding effective quota methods and develops sound, data-driven quota-setting processes.Manages the monthly finance closing process to include auditing, supplying detail for appropriate reconciliation and preparing monthly narratives describing any trends or issues found. Regularly reports on financial metrics to ensure business performance maintains scalability and profitability.  Works closely with finance team to develop quarterly and annual OPEX forecast, incorporating business strategy, seasonality and business trends.  Manages complex and sensitive information (financial, compensation data) with a high level of security, accuracy and integrity. Uses an effective audit process to ensure accuracy upon first submission. Ensures timely submission of required data for dependent processes.Develops models to analyze and evaluate project investments using objective metrics and tracks project ROI over time.Identifies cutting-edge financial models for forecasting financial performance; continuously innovates ways of viewing and measuring the business to trend performance and identify areas of focus.Education and Experience RequiredTypically 4-6 years of experience in sales compensation management, finance, planning, operations, or related functional area. Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.Knowledge and SkillsKnowledge of Excel (Advanced) and basic statistical analysis Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and large dataset manipulation skills.Experience handling sensitive financial/compensation informationAbility to learn and draw on new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis.Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.Very strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong project and task management skills.Demonstrated ability to build relationships cross-functionally.Ability to lead and act as a member of cross-functional teams.Ability to identify and summarize relevant trends from market and industry data.Ability to apply a growth mindset to all aspects of the role.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of HP and HP.com businessExperience working in sales, sales operations or finance; ideally in sales compensation managementPrior experience in project investment analysis (ROI, IRR)Bachelor’s degree or MBA with focus in FinanceJob -Business PlanningSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
