Hazard Communications SpecialistDescription -With the guidance of the Hazard Communications and Chemical Compliance and Toxicology (CCT) Team leads, the candidate will be engaged in the following activities:Routine authoring of Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documents and inputsGather information from material testing, existing databases and SharePoint sites, and toxicologists to determine appropriate hazard communication requirementsRegularly access and update the SDS databaseOngoing discussions and consultations with team members both on-site as well as off-site (and out of country)SDS Publication/finalization managementEnsure SDS documents are posted to the HP website in a timely fashionQuality control of documents to ensure consistency, content and compliance with CCT Lead expectationsHazard classification changes and ink impactMonitor classification changes as a result of inputs and advice from Regulatory Managers (country regulations) CCT leads, and suppliers.Identify impacts to HPI’s ink formations and classificationsSummarize the impacts and next steps as neededInk reformulationsMonitor classification changes as a result of lab test results and/or ink formulation changesIdentify impacts to HPI’s ink formations and classificationsSummarize the impacts and next steps as neededHP Product Label ReviewsReview HP product labels to ensure Haz Com content and translations are correctPartner with the Packaging team to provide expert adviceMaintain translations and update Haz Com label matrix as neededPeriodically prepare translation requests for HP’s translations service providerReview and maintenance of compliance files for commercialized supplies productsReview existing documentation for accuracyUpdate documents to latest standardsHazard Communication/Chemical Compliance RegulationsPeriodically review Hazard Communication regulations and communicate requirements/impacts to key partnersPartner with HP’s Chemical Regulatory Management Team to ensure SDS and product label  complianceIdeal attributes of the candidate:Chemistry education or experience is highly desirable; ideally possesses a BS in Chemistry or Toxicology (as a major or minor)Experience with M/S Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, WordExperience with SharePoint, OneDrive and other personal efficiency and productivity toolsOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to independently problem-solveThe candidate must:Comply with all Confidentiality Agreements, and following all access policies, and related restrictions to HPI’s tools (including but not limited to:  EMA database, DCRS database, GreenScreen tool, and all SharePoint sites, websites, spreadsheets, lab and test reports, etc.)Product timely, accurate and high quality work outputHave the ability and desire to work in a very dynamic work environment, with frequent communications across functions and regions, with an understanding of cultural diversityHave the ability to organize and plan their daily work, with minimal supervision and directionHave the ability to communicate clearly and concisely; be able to organize and present information in a clear and concise fashion, as needed or requested by the CCT LeadsBe available for work on a consistent basis, 40 hours per week.HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurance  Per the Washington statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location, at the time of this posting, is 78,350.00 - 120,650.00 USD  This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.#LI-POSTJob -EngineeringSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -Not SpecifiedRelocation -NoEEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
