Technical Program ManagerDescription -The Technical Program Manager is responsible for scoping and defining the technical design, driving execution, and delivery of software feature, solution, or product. Serves as the bridge between cross-functional teams including marketing, Design, and R&D.  Refines the requirements and distributes work into logical customer valued deliverables, and opportunistically identifies synergies with HP's existing systems.  Responsible for defining the overall approach and architecture and is accountable for defining the overall quality plan for that feature, solution, or product, and ensuring the on-time delivery, escalating, as necessary. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to his/her colleagues.Responsibilities:Manages and leads a program involving multiple functions and project/asset teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for a product or service offering.Develops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program.Manages activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.Performs program analysis, manages risk, identifies and influences necessary course corrections, and communicates program status and activities across multiple levels of management.Manages risks and resolves issues that affect release, scope, schedule, and quality of highly visible, complex programs.Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities in the manufacturing and/or engineering organization.Partners with quality & Customer Satisfaction organization, as needed, and suggests ways to improve the delivery quality of the program.Works with teams locally and geographically separated across multiple regions.Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.PMP/PMI certification preferred.Typically, 7-10 years’ experience.Extensive experience with using project and program planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.Comprehensive experience in developing commercial software products using agile development practices.Expertise in managing cross-organizational software development projects from initiation through delivery.Hands-on experience with developing and reporting on metrics for engineering development.Analytical and problem-solving experiences with large-scale systems.Demonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing all aspects of programs, including communicating with stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in EnglishAbility to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.Job -SoftwareSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
