This vision is what sets us apart as a company.Join HP and be a part of it.Job DescriptionThe materials Product Engineer has the engineering and quality responsibility for the released materials in the field. This includes working with materials suppliers to ensure product quality based on agreed specifications. The product engineer also supports field investigations and escalations that maybe related to materials quality. Product engineers own the product specifications, analyze proposed changes, and lead qualification efforts to ensure overall final product quality.Product engineers are also involved in new product development, understanding new product requirements, and working with development engineers define risk areas to track. Working with development engineers they define the product stabilization strategy and ongoing quality support needed. Product Engineers also support field escalations and work together with Customer Assurance and Supply Chain to quickly review and propose solutions to customer issues.When working with suppliers they maintain and track all the production quality data. Analyze trends and work with suppliers if any corrective action is needed. They contribute and sometimes lead the supplier performance quality audits.Key ResponsibilitiesDesigns portions of engineering solutions utilizing multiple engineering disciplines for materials product engineering, and solutions based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.Develops and implements parameters and test plans for production batches of current materialsCollaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners on materials engineering testing and test results.Participates as a member of project team of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for low to moderately- complex materials management.Education and Experience RequiredBachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science (preferred), Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.Experience in a manufacturing environment of chemicals or plastics with Quality Control responsibilities preferred.Typically 2-4 years experience.Knowledge and SkillsExperience with Root Cause Analysis and investigationsHighly effective communication skillsData gathering and trend analysisBasic statistical control methodsEffective leadership skills managing issues in a group settingTest plan creation and execution managementEffective risk assessment and issue managementExposure to manufacturing methods and quality control strategies Job -EngineeringSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (Spain)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
