Cloud Software ArchitectDescription -We are looking for a Senior Cloud Software Architect, in this position you will have the opportunity to contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. You will operate in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful. Lead large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees. Routinely exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develop strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.Responsibilities:Develops organization-wide architectures and methodologies for cloud-based development and software solutions across multiple platforms and organizations within the Global Business Unit.Demonstrated mastery with respect to distributed/cloud computing and knowledge in virtualization technologies, cloud infrastructure, cloud solutions, systems/microservice architecture, and design.Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture.Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of software systems design and development innovation and excellence.Knowledge & SkillsRequiredAbility to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at the business unit and executive levels.Experience leading a team of developersExperience with designing, architecting, and building large-scale cloud based distributed systems preferably using AWS technologiesExperience in designing and developing microservicesExperience with Docker or KubernetesProficient in multiple software development tools and languages, with a strong focus on programming with GoLangExperience with unit testing methodologiesPreferredUnderstanding of design for software applications running on multiple platform such as Windows, Linux, Chrome, and AndroidExperience working with ReactJSExperience with Electron type frameworksScope & Impact:Viewed as a thought leader by peers across functionsDirectly influences department strategy with respect to cloud engineering initiativesCloud Systems and Infrastructure that manages over 2 million devicesEducation & Experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.10+ years experience.HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insuranceOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $142,450.00 -- $206,550.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
