Power Delivery EngineerDescription -What a Power Delivery Engineer does at HP:Perform USB-C/PD device HW/FW development, test, optimization and maintenance.Work closely with ODM, IHV and PD vender for USB-C/PD development. Undertake USB-C/PD testing, debugging and certification.Resolve USB-C/PD issues for NPI and sustaining projects.Manage the implementation of the Power Delivery sub system on several notebook designs including the ability to do this both while on-site and remotely located.Interface with the HP Program Manager and the HP Project Leads in the EE/HW and also Firmware Codec area, providing direction to both on responsibilities & activities for the Audio technology area you own.Will work, Lead & Oversee debug and qualification activities for the PD technology components that you own; coordinate between ODM, IHV, and PD chipset vendors to complete root cause analysis and find acceptable product solutions under short timelines within the product development schedule.Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:BS/MS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering8+ years of USB PD development work-experienceExperience on USB-C/PD hardware, scope and USB analyzersExperience on USB-C/PD protocolsExperience in USB-C/PD testing and certificationAbility to operate independently in an environment with evolving or new processes.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.Sustainable impact is HP’s commitment to create positive, lasting change for the planet, its people, and our communities.
