Data Science Master Inventory ManagementDescription -Data Science Master for Inventory ManagementAs a Data Science Master in the Center of Excellence for the Inventory Management team, you will shape HP’s future of how to solve concrete business problems with the use of data science. We are a very dynamic, highly skilled, and diverse global team consisting of data scientists, economists, statisticians, computer scientists and engineers, who are pushing the innovation frontier in the way we bring insights to our business. Working with us you will combine your modelling skills, economic/business thinking, experimentation, and optimization methods to help us make the decisions on how to distribute our inventory today so that it would meet consumer needs, minimize out of stock and over stocks given supply and minimize potential aged inventory. About you:·   Self-starter with intellectual curiosity·   Desire for growth, learning, and taking on worthy challenges·   Well versed in machine learning algorithms, tools, and platforms·   Team player and ready to work in a fast-paced environment·   Strong drive to build solutions that will impact how HPs operates and delivers value  Key responsibilities: ·   Collect requirements from the business teams to build impactful analytic solutions related to Demand forecasting, Inventory Management and Inventory Allocation and optimization·   Support in the design, development, deployment and adoption of analytical solutions·   Utilizing SQL and tools (Python, R, Pyspark.) for acquiring, analysing data and building statistical and machine learning models to solve Inventory Management business challenges·   Optimize the Machine Learning models to maximize their business impact ·   Communicate project progress and manage delivery risks with business stakeholders·   Validate the accuracy, robustness of ML solutions and its alignment with business requirements·   Help manage the solution roadmap and its enhancements and its strengthen its adoption by the business·   Support internal training efforts and recruiting initiatives Requirements: ·   Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent·   3 + years’ experience with data querying language (SQL, Hadoop) and statistical/mathematical software such as Python and/or R·   3 + years’ experience with Machine Learning models (Time series and/or regression)·   Demonstrable track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment·   Experience in the management of 2-3 Data Scientists ·   Experience in Project Management is requiredWhat we offer:·   Opportunity to work in an international organization with colleagues coming from all over the world.·   Diverse, continued internal growth and career opportunities.
