The ideal candidate will have a passion for and experience with mechanical design and advanced thermal technologies along with strong and proven technical leadership and product planning skills. The Mechanical Architect will explore, conceptualize, and initiate mechanical and thermal designs aligned to current and future customer requirements for our Workstation solutions. Responsibilities:Anticipate, innovate, and plan mechanical and thermal solutions aligned to our portfolio and solution strategies and aligned to current and future customer workflows.Deeply understand mechanical and thermal technologies to be used to optimize customer experience especially relating to form factor, performance, reliability, and acousticsCollaborate with workstation product planners and strategic technologists to define our solution, portfolio, and technology strategies.Collaborate and influence across engineering disciplines and cross-functionally throughout the business to champion and defend portfolio and solution objectives.Work with partners and suppliers to influence and create solutions that include HP unique mechanical and thermal innovation and differentiation.Evaluate the competitive landscape for mechanical and thermal opportunities and propose solutions to close competitive gaps and identify HP differentiation.Experience and Skills: A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, Thermal or Computer Engineering, or significant experience in a related technical field.Demonstrated computer architecture and engineering experience working electro-mechanical product design and architecture.Unbridled curiosity to understand and predict where technologies and user experience expectations are heading in our future.Ability to manage and expand strategic relationships with external partners and suppliers.Critical competencies, qualifications, and extreme ownership to drive innovation and business results.Ability to effectively communicate strategy and proposals to leadership.HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insuranceOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $116,900.00 -- $150,000.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
