Personality and Cultural Alignment to influence right decisions – without breaking bridges and adhere to the HP waySuper-passionate about converting data to customer valuable insightsGood “Analytical Thinking” to make majority of right judgement callsResponsibilities As the Cloud Platform Master Architect You will be responsible for driving product success:Subject matter expert in Public Cloud Infrastructure Architecture as it relates to compute, network and storage.Familiarity of Public Cloud services available from AWS, MS Azure and Google/GCP.Consults on Application architecture and drives cloud native resultsContributes to governance, optimization and migration with Application Teams migrating or developing Applications on the Public CloudDrive alignment with Cyber Security to protect HPs brand reputation and dataFinancial acumen to help application teams scope cost of proposed Application Architectures and drive optimization to reduce costPartner with DevOps to develop tooling and infrastructure for cloud development and cloud operations use cases, with a focus on microservices deployment and distributed systems monitoring and fault analysis.Lead security compliance process with GCS to ensure solutions meet all security requirements.Define a cloud architecture that best fits HPs need to be flexible and quickly add solutions to the platform in a common manner. Create architecture roadmaps, groom backlogs, facilitate with senior leadershipDefine solution metricsTrack product usage and metrics and suggest/drive course correctionsContribute ideas to productGuide technical teams of experts to build the cloud solution with scalability, security, and robustness in mind. Knowledge & Skills:Demonstrated mastery with respect to distributed/cloud computing and knowledge in virtualization technologies, cloud infrastructure, cloud solutions, systems/microservice architecture, and design.Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, STEM or related discipline or equivalent experience preferredExperience in Cloud architecture7+ Years of experience in software industry5+ Years of experience as a software architect, developer, tester, or equivalent is a plusStrong user experience/design sense, with a record of building great products.Strong organizational as well as written and oral communication skills.Subject matter expert on AWS, MS Azure and GCP Public Cloud services.Deep knowledge in HP Public Cloud Infrastructure and Application ArchitecturesExpert in Cloud native architectures, elastic compute, cost optimization and DevOpsStrong understanding of optimization techniques to drive optimal cost structures for applications running in the Public CloudKnowledgeable in all facets of compute, network and storage as it relates to Public Cloud Application ArchitectureSecurity principles, architecture, tools and infrastructure understood to help guide and coach Application Teams with Public Cloud adoption/migrationBasic Program Management skills – set up meetings, facilitate, assign actions, track/ follow up and report out.HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:• Dental insurance• Disability insurance• Employee assistance program• Flexible schedule• Flexible spending account• Health insurance• Life insurance Per the State of Washington statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location, at the time of this posting, is $168,000-180,000-198,000.
