Portfolio Strategy AnalystDescription -Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, portfolio and customer needs. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines to define line logic and ensure alignment across organizations on bringing winning portfolio to the market. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing long term portfolio strategies, near term tactics and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.ResponsibilitiesLeads cross-portfolio  business consultative engagements.  Identifies research, tools, and analyses required to achieve objectives for large, complex business strategy projects.Structures analytical approaches and develops project strategies and tactics.Researches market, technology and consumer trends and analyzes how exogenous trends will impact business and portfolio choices in futureAnticipates the need of the business, develops hypothesis and analytical models to test with dataDevelops and evangelizes recommendations for optimizing business and financial performance.Project manages large, cross- functional  teams and communications to execute and deliver cross-portfolio projects and ensure timely delivery to stakeholders.Leads the development of project guidelines, contingency plans, objectives, and deliverables.Consults with business executives on a wide range of issues related to the strategy formulation process, including risk management and new growth opportunities.Provides thought leadership and contributes to expanding the knowledge base which includes developing new methods, techniques and criteria for developing strategy analysis and recommendations.Collaborates across businesses, functions, and regions to align strategy and direction with corporate and divisional approaches, systems, information and support.SkillsExcellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skillsStrong product management knowledge and hands-on experience (3Cs and the 4Ps)Mastery in analyzing P&L, market trend, and operational data to gain insights into the future of the business.Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectivesExtensive knowledge of and ability to manage statistical analysis and financial modeling.Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge within at multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.Strong executive presence and credibility. Can exert influence without authority.Excellent project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams independently.Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team- building, conflict resolution, and management.Ability to independently draft and present deliverables, recommendations, and communications strategies.Commercial Notebook and Desktop industry knowledge preferable.MBA or equivalent experience.Education and Experience Required: Typically 3-5 years experience in management consulting, investment banking, or market research. First level university degree. Recent MBA with pre-degree experience would be considered. Must be actively enrolled in a university.
