Client Platform ArchitectDescription -Print Software Team is standardizing on philosophy, architecture and governance across Print for our iOS, Android, Windows, Mac and Web applications. We are pushing a cloud-first approach, looking to bring in best practices around patterns, documentation, and leveragability. We seek a technology leader to help create that vision and then drive it across the broad Print SW organization.This role is recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories and techniques. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful. Provides highly innovative solutions. Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.Responsibilities: Accountable for architectural oversight and vision for the evolution of the Jarvis Client platformSetup and enforce architecture processes and standardsEstablish the technical vision for the Jarvis platform ensuring it aligns with Business investment roadmapWork with Print level strategist to understand Print level architecture vision and convert those to working platform level artifacts that the development team can consumeCollaborate with Pan HP Personal Systems and Print domain architects to build a client platform architecture that delivers on converged business objectives over a rolling 3 year roadmapResponsible for pivoting the client platform architecture as necessary to address changing business strategic prioritiesEngage closely with the client platform technical leads on strategic technical decisions impacting our technology roadmapIdentifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture.Provide technical leadership on technology platforms of choice with special attention to cross platform technologiesProvide architectural sequence diagrams and working architectural documents to the technical development team to facilitate developmentCollaborate with stakeholders across function to review business solution requirements and evaluate whether the client platform is the appropriate development domainDrive technology innovation and integration of new technologies into client platformBe an evangelist for inner sourcing on the platform and for the establishment of process to support that goalProvides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of software systems design and development innovation and excellence.Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.Typically 10+ years experience.Knowledge and Skills: Extensive experience with multiple software frameworks and technologies.Experience in overall frontend and backend architecture of web software systems for products and solutions.Expert experience architecting client solutions built on web, mobile, desktop and cloud technologies, e.g. React, React Native.JS, Xamarin, Swift, Kotlin, Java, Objective C and AWS.Expert in designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platforms into overall architecture.Experience with building large scale architectures for resilience, performance, reuse, scalability and security.Knowledge of cross platform development technologies such as KMP and Flutter.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
