We provide data-driven actionable insights to influence business decisions.The Print Analytics Team seeks to deliver insightful analysis derived from a thorough understanding of the data, business & customer environment, utilizing business intelligence tools and advanced analysis methods, as needed.Business EnvironmentOur team partners closely with the Instant Ink organization to deliver analytics and insights on our program and partner performance. The Instant Ink program is an ink & toner subscription model offered by HP to its home and SMB customers, in which customers select from different page plans and ink / toner gets home delivered to them as and when their printer detects they are running out of supplies.To manage channel contra payment, we are looking for a high caliber full stack Data Engineer / Technical Product Owner who can work in close collaboration with cross-functional and cross-regional teams and help efficiently program manage contra payment.Role Description: Be a systems expert and a technical business intelligence (BI) consultant to the Instant Ink (II) Business Intelligence and Operations team.The core objective of the engagement would be to help the program better understand our channel partners & contra program by enabling analytics that provide insights into partners, their performance, the compensation process and opportunities to optimize in each of these areas. To ensure streamlined analytics delivery, we require a data platform and system that can sustain and adapt to the growing analytics needs, by designing systems, automation frameworks and smart systems. This role will require the candidate to be a technical product lead for this platform development and optimization effort, in time proving to be a thought leader in systems thinking and consulting to further drive process efficiencies and improvement in data quality and delivery.Key responsibilities:Technical -Ownership of our web-based cloud portal that provides payment processing of retailer channel partners i.e. become the technical product owner for this Retailer Compensation (RC) ToolOwn the technical responsibilities for the E2E data stack related to the I-Ink compensation program (data engineering, front end development, analytics onboarding, and delivery, etc.)Complete familiarity with the existing BI systems, retailer compensation processes, data stack, data sources (internal and external), dashboards, and analysisKey goal is to leverage the gained knowledge to showcase technical leadership and deliver a future ready, strategic roadmap for the tool development, delivery and optimizationProgram manage the data systems development roadmap aimed at continuous improvement – e.g.  adapting to the newer technologies, developing POCs, team management of roles and responsibilities, etc.Analyze, design and determine coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelinesWork with team to design, implement and maintain Java applications (Front end as well as backend code) with core responsibilities on backend data processingExecute and write portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identify and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements.Deliver automation capabilities for data mining and reporting, and improve analytics deliveryParticipate as a member of a project team with other engineers, data science & business professionals to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for assigned data system, model, or component.Business -Close collaboration with Instant Ink team to understand and internalize the program challenges and opportunities to enable translation of business needs to technical requirements and roadmapsDevelop a thorough understanding of the retail partner relationships and dependencies that drive and influence the Instant Ink business performanceCollaborate and communicate with project team regarding project progress and issue resolution.Be creative and a thought leader in developing data solutions for newer business challenges as HP forays into newer spaces.Education and Experience Required:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.8-10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Exposure to AWS Big Data Platform2-3 years of experience in building Java based Application, front end UIQualifications and key skills required: Using data engineering tools, languages, frameworks to cleanse, mine and explore dataUnderstanding of database technologies, management systems, and cloud-based systems/services.Database architecture testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.Fluent in programming and automating repetitive tasks – preferably using Knime/Nifi/Airflow/DatabricksExpert in writing script for automated QA/TestingProficient in R/Python scripting, SQL programming languages experienceExperience with AWS big data systems, PySpark, and Apache NiFi, ETL is a requiredExposure with Java application developmentWorking experience in Java 8 or higher, Hibernate and Spring MVC is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options.Job -SoftwareSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (India)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
