Mobile Workstation Product Planning ManagerDescription -This opportunity is in HP’s Advanced Compute Solutions focusing on planning mobile workstation products and solutions. Success in this role will depend on the self-starter that takes ownership of the role, driving cross line of business initiatives that enhance HPs competitive position while effectively managing overall roadmap complexity.This role will focus on long range planning of mobile devices and peripheral ecosystem roadmaps. Responsibilities will include developing new product business cases, market research, interactions with customers, market and competitive analysis, and planning mobile workstations and accessories.This role has worldwide responsibility and will work with sales teams, outbound marketing, business directors, program management, industrial design engineers and product design engineering teams while also working in collaboration with technology suppliers and fellow PS mobile planners across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesBalance planning “hero” products while continuing to scale the commercial targeted products and ensure we have the best model to drive a complete portfolio with leadership position across value, premium, and innovation.Act as a key interface with ODM’s in Taipei – would prefer experience in this fieldPartner with external technology partners to drive innovationDirect and/or influence cross functional teams having indirect responsibilities for product launch success (industrial design, UX, engineering, architects, ODMs, NPI, category leads, sales specialist, etc.).Work closely with HPs commercial peripherals and displays teams to define and deliver the critical accessories required for a great customer experienceQualifications:Required: Undergraduate degree with 8-10 years’ experience (4-6 years with a Master’s degree).Demonstrated ability to leverage customer & market insights to plan and design competitively advantaged products based on customer’s unique requirements.Technology product marketing/product management background including a proven track record of managing a product lifecycle – define, launch, maintain, end of lifeTrack record of success working with cross functional teams to influence product directionDirect experience working with customers to understand pain points and translating findings into product requirementsStrong verbal and written communication skills at all levels of within the organization and externalBusiness acumen – ability to build business cases and measure successA proven leader, visionary, with demonstrated ability to executeDemonstrated ability to manage within a matrixed environment is criticalJob -MarketingSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -25%Relocation -YesEEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
