And we believe that ideas thrive best in a culture of teamwork.  That is why everyone, in every function, is encouraged to develop, express and share their creativity to deliver better outcomes for our customers.The Strategy and Incubation organization is in a unique position to help define and accelerate HP’s strategic aspiration.  To help develop and elevate the brand of the multifaceted Strategy and Incubation organization, we are looking for a talented  Director – Strategy and Incubation Executive Communications to join the S&I Chief of Staff & Transformation office team.  The Director – Strategy and Incubation Executive Communications will be responsible for the Chief Strategy and Incubation Officer’s external and internal communications, and guiding the overall communications strategy for the Leadership team.  This individual will also lead the strategy and execution of persuasive, high-ROI engagements and content that will help elevate the brand of the Strategy and Incubation organization and advance the S&I Leadership team’s business objectives. The Director – Strategy and Incubation Executive Communications must be a seasoned communications professional who possesses deep experience with storytelling and crafting compelling narratives for executives as well as internal and external stakeholders, and curating impactful experiences to amplify their voice and impact.  The successful candidate will be well-versed in leveraging traditional and social media channels, while executing against deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.  S/He will have a track record or serving as a trusted communications advisor to senior leaders, and helping to develop other communicators.  This individual must have a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across the company, work collaboratively with people at all levels and have a bias toward action while consistently turning strategy into execution to achieve strong results. Responsibilities include:Strategic – Develop and lead cross-functional, long-term reputation and executive communications strategy and platform that:Defines a clear and compelling vision and strategy that elevates the voice of the Chief Strategy and Incubation Officer on specific topics aligned with HP Strategy and that accelerates HP’s Strategic VisionDevelops outstanding executive communications platforms across both internal and external communication channels and events.Influences and aligns the Strategy and Incubation brand narrative and messaging across the S&I Leadership Team, the business and within Strategy and IncubationFosters positive relationships between Corporate Affairs and other key partners and stakeholders across HP.Establishes strong, collaborative relationships with the Strategy and Incubation Leadership team, other S&I communicators and key partnersSecuring Strategic thought leadership and brand advocacy including premier industry speaking engagements and association participationContent - Produce strategic, creative, high-performing content that differentiates and elevates the Supply Chain brand and its executives’ priorities through:Creating & publishing an editorial calendar for reputation/brand and executive communications, to promote cross-organization collaboration.Writing executive talking points, messages, blogs, editorials, and bylines that drive employee alignment, thought leadership, and Strategy and Incubation Chain brand advocacy.Partnering with internal teams and bring to bear vendors to develop presentations that support brand, event narrative, including speech writing, design, and accompanying multi-media.Prioritizing and crafting outstanding and high-quality social media content that significantly accelerates social media follower growth, engagement, and helps to attract key talent.Create internal memos, authored content, speeches, executive briefing books and story pitches that connect executive voices to key themes and topics that matter to their stakeholders.Education and Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus.10+ years of executive communications experience – crafting and implementing communications strategies, developing the executive voice; ideally having worked with Fortune 500 technology companies.8+ years of progressive leadership experience to include  planning, organizing, staffing, directing and managing employees or teamsCorporate Strategy experience or other relevant experience, preferably accumulated across a variety of prior roles and assignments.Knowledge and Skills:Exceptional communication skills, and high proficiency in developing, clear, succinct and compelling content for executive-level presentations and communications.Strong work ethic, results-oriented with demonstrated experience in managing the complex to simple, creating well-organized and well-structured communications for all levels.Superior organization and program management skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Superior listening and interpersonal skillsAbility to link communications plans and activities to business results.Proven experience crafting social and digital content, thought leadership content and content strategy.Superior knowledge and understanding of communications methodologies, tools and vehicles.Self-starting, strategic thinker and thought leader with a mindset of innovation and intellectual curiosity, combines various perspectives and approaches in creative ways.Ability to interact with all levels of the company top to bottom, including most senior company management.Crisis communications experience, as well as experience dealing with sensitive workforce and workplace issues.Experience with metrics gathering and reporting to measure communication performance, to optimize going forward and to understand audience behaviors.Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results.Digital acumen and knowledge of digital communications trends and standards/designs/best practices including user experience for web, email, mobile and social media.High levels of tact and diplomacy.Flexible, nimble, and able to thrive within a growing and evolving organization.A relentless focus on the details.Collaborative in nature.Proficient in Microsoft (PPT, Word, Excel) & Collaboration platforms (Teams, Zoom, Smartsheet, Miro); as well as a willingness and ability to quickly embrace new tools. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $170,000.00 -- $225,000.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
