Category Manager GamingDescription -The Country Category Manager position for the HP's Gaming Business is dedicated to the growing market of gaming or gaming-capable products. The successful candidate will work closely with internal sources (Sales/Marketing/PR) and external sources (major Retail and Etail accounts) to determine the right product offering in different product & price segments. Besides a detailed market view, the individual will match HP's product strategy to identify profitable growth areas. As part of the 4P of marketing, the communication strategy will also be responsible for this role, including internal and external coordination with the HP sales force and HP's retail channel. In addition, the candidate needs to have a deep understanding of the gaming market in Germany/Austria and, ideally, be active in the gaming community.   Data analytics is key to this role as new data streams become available by the day and need to be filtered, streamlined, and condensed to get to a solid strategy proposal.  Responsibilities: Expand HP’s Gaming footprint in the German/Austrian consumer market Develop online business using existing channel partners & by establishing relationships with upcoming market players Steer & control collaboration between HP sales, marketing, PR, and the channel partners Full responsibility for the P&L of the gaming product lines, including pricing, demand planning & roadmap design Responsible for promotion execution and sell-out accelerationAnalyze and observe the market and competition and take necessary actions to develop the HP Gaming businessDevelop portfolio and control Brand mix to maximize the average unit price & profitability of the P&LEducation and Experience Required: 2-5 years of experience in or close to a product management position Gamer and passion for videogamesKnowledge and Skills: Excellent communicator with the ability to captivate the gaming community Marketing and marketing program implementationKnowledge of competitor's product offeringsKnowledge of industry norms and opportunitiesUnderstanding of product life cycle managementIn-depth knowledge of 4P elements (product, pricing, promotion, and positioning)Proactive, resourceful and problem-solving attitudeStrategic and analytical thinker who can also operate in detailStrong time management and organizational skillsCustomer and data-drivenFluency in German and English both spoken and written Thank you for taking the time to review our job.; if you think it matches your experience and interests, please apply today; we are eager to learn more about you! Would you like to know more about us?
