As the development team adds new APIs, features and functionality that require flexible thinking and a high level of technicality, you will work closely with all the backend/front-end engineering managers to constantly improve the quality of our products.Your day-to-dayDesign, develop and deploy the automation system for a large scale highly distributed, event-driven microservices architecture in a cloud-based environment (AWS).Own the strategy and vision for the automation of our system.Investigate new tools and technologies that support the innovation happening in the product like our search, policy, and rules engine.Investigate ways to improve our CI/CD process that moves us towards high-quality releases.Take full accountability for technical projects from specification and planning through execution and release to production.Proven technical leadership in components, API and Services, UI, and end-to-end test automation in the cloud.Lead the implementation and improvement of best practices and tooling to meet the quality needs of the product.Advocate for the testability of the product during design and development.Manage and coach a team of high-performing engineers.Constantly learn and improve our process, tools, and services.What you bring to the team5-8 years of management experience, preferably with QA automation.Understanding and experience with OOP.Understanding of QA principles and methodology.Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.Experience with Java/Selenium/Python.Experience with containerization tools like Docker.Experience with Elastic or OpenSearch and event-driven systems like Kafka.Leadership qualities of leading by example and focusing on collaborating with the team.Passion for people, quality, technology, and architecture.Curiosity to learn more.At least 5 years of work experience as an automation engineer.Excellent team player.Experienced with large enterprise SaaS systems.If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!Consistent with Proofpoint values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
