When you join a GoTo product team, you’ll take on a key role in this process and see your work be used by millions of users worldwide.Your Day to Day As an Engineering Manager you would be working on:Create a motivating and inspiring environment in which people excel and continuously improveIdentifying missing skills, evaluate maturity/seniority, and guide Team members to develop themselves and their careerCoach Team members on how to manage different situations (conflict handling, absence of Team members, solve technical challenges, acquire a great deal of new knowledge in short time)Encourage Team to be proactive, independent, and get things done in an effective mannerCommunicate and collaborate with other Engineering Managers, Product Management and other disciplinesInfluence the product roadmap to consciously balance between speed of delivery and sustainabilityAttract, grow, and retain talentTake action on under-performersSupport the design and delivery of new commerce features for GoToMaintain, test and modify development programsProvide guidelines, standards, and processes to support the development processTackle and solve challenging problems with high success rateOrganize and lead release processCreate and maintain internal documentationWhat We’re Looking ForAs an Engineering Manager, your background will look like Relevant hands-on experience in an Engineering Manager role or similarExperience working in an agile environment; in people management; with web application development; with functional or cross functional team managementSW development experienceAble to quickly adapt to new situations and to learn fastCheerful and empathetic, Excellent communication skillsFluent in EnglishBSc or higher degree or equivalent relevant work experienceYou’ll be working towards a shared goal with an open-minded and cohesive team greater than the sum of its parts.
