Backend Engineer

You will be joining our content and services team in Paris who is in charge of building the infrastructure, production systems and internal tools which support our voice products.With the help of our content experts, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of our content data ingestion pipelines. These pipelines receive data from our internal and partner systems, process them to make them fit for our real life devices and our backend services.What You’ll DoBuild and run production systems and internal toolsWork closely with the rest of Sonos Cloud Services team to contribute to Sonos cloud services infrastructure Contribute to our design and architecture sessionsApply industry best practices to continuously improve our code and processesParticipate in our numerous learning sessions and technology deep divesParticipate to required on-call duties for critical production systemsSkills You’ll NeedBasic Qualifications:Real life programming experience with Scala or RustProduction experience with SQL and other Databases (Elasticsearch, noSQL, …): Design, OptimizationExperience with data processing from multiple heterogeneous sources (data processing code, traceability, storage and versioning, mass cleanup and deduplication, …)Demonstrated experience using git and GithubExperience with Cloud environments and/or KubernetesEffective communication skillsDomain Driven DesignPreferred Qualifications:Functional Scala: ZIO, Cats, Fs2 or other strongly typed functional programming languagesKnowledge of TerraformKnowledge of AWSYour profile will be reviewed and you'll hear from us once we have an update.
