As Vice President Legislative Affairs, you'll serve as a lead representative for legislative issues in the Washington D.C. environment. You'll provide information, advice, and perspectives to senior corporate executives concerning policies, trends and activities within the Congress and key customer organizations, oversee comprehensive communications and action/engagement plans, influence positive outcomes for the company, and build networks, coalitions, and contacts to effectively execute action plans. You will be responsible for ensuring a comprehensive knowledge base is available to build, craft, and focus key messaging and content for Legislative and Government Affairs engagement. You'll guide the strategic integration of executives, program managers, business development, marketing/outreach, program, and technical teams to build and maintain strong communications. Additionally, you'll also lead integration activities with all corporate functions, including the communications, legal, and executive support functions at the corporate headquarters. Your duties will also include strategic planning, stakeholder engagement efforts and serving as a lobbyist with the full range of responsibilities and accountability associated with this role.Sierra Space—based in Louisville, CO with operations in Madison, WI, Durham, NC, Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, and Kennedy Space Center, FL—designs and manufactures the Dream Chaser spaceplane and other advanced spacecraft, commercial space destinations, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers, and international organizations.
