This role requires a passion for all things enterprise transformation program management, the ability to lead a team of some of the best program managers at Workday and the willingness to be a change agent in the process. You will lead your team in the delivery of large, cross organizational, strategic internal programs focused on enterprise growth and operational effectiveness aligned with Workday’s scale. You will lead the development and evolution of PMO practices, standards and portfolio management processes. This role is based in Pleasanton, CA and will report directly to the Sr. Director of Enterprise Portfolio and Program Office.Key responsibilities will include: Monitor and maintain portfolio of programs with expert oversight and curationActing as subject matter expert on practice, playbooks and frameworks Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement by program Ensuring success measures in place for each priority along with transparent reporting & decision making Facilitating complex tradeoff decisions About YouWe are looking for an experienced PMO team leader who is passionate about building high performing teams and understands the value of structure while balancing the need for agility and innovation within that framework. Leveraging transformation program management best practices, this role will guide your team and at times step in directly to lead the facilitation of business strategy definition, scope identification, cross functional design, timeline alignment and driving on time delivery of committed outcomes and deliverables.Basic Qualifications 10+ years of progressive, cross organizational program management experience managing highly visible, large-scale, strategic initiatives3+ years of leading program management teams in a fast paced and quickly evolving environment A passion for team mentorship, employee development and building a team culture based on delivering results at speed while having funExperience with PMO portfolio management, framework and standards development. A toolbox of multiple program management methodologiesExperience in working and building trusted relationships with executive leaders including C level management. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization including executive leadership, cross-functional teams and third parties.  Other QualificationsKnowledge of design thinking, strategy definition, agility concepts and the ability to step in as a business transformation advisor as needed. Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situationsResilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevereExperience with change management practices and methodologies a plusExperience leading transformation programs in the software industry with an enterprise products company or consulting experience is a plus As a federal contractor, Workday is requiring all new hires to verify that they are fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 within 72 hours of beginning employment with Workday, consistent with applicable law. Workday is an equal opportunity employer. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location.
