Candidates who are willing to relocate are also encouraged to apply.  Job Title: Director Application Development Job Intro: The Director Application Development works across leadership and the team to manage and optimize the development and engineering practices in a fast-paced agile environment. This HANDS-ON role is also responsible for collaborating with the respective business stakeholders, software teams, in contributing and executing on the technology roadmap, user stories and prioritized product backlogs in support of the overall business strategy while ensuring best practices for application development are being followed. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Build and lead a highly talented, top-performing, efficient, engineering and development team Reviews and participates in key architecture and technical design decisions Assist in definition of technology roadmaps, products and improvements aligned with appropriate product and business roadmaps Advance architecture, process, and tools through innovation, cutting edge technology and research Drive continuous improvement and automates tools, processes, and technology to allow for greater engineering throughput, quality, capabilities, skills and delivery Own outcomes of engineering, planning, execution, and delivery on complex projects Hire talent and coach and mentor towards the professional growth of direct reports  Able to measure organizational progress and health through metrics and results Foster great business relationships by partnering with key stakeholders and cross functional leadership teams Bridge communications between the business and IT teams and take full ownership of the product development lifecycle in-line with Agile principles Support and troubleshoot production issues Provide expertise in identifying and translating system requirements into software design documentation Basic Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems or equivalent experience Minimum 10 years software development & 5 years in a manager role Experienced in Agile and Kanban development Experience in managing remote teams  Project Planning, Estimating, Scheduling, Tracking, Budgeting, and Reporting Risk & Issue Planning (Identification, Mitigation, Resolution) Strong Diagnostic & Analytical Capabilities, Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills with all levels of management Experience in development of regulated software domains. Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations and requirements and software development best practices for compliance Experience in Reactjs, Java, Postgres, GraphQL, Github Actions , Containerized platform. We pay based on a market-based approach, supported with robust data and in alignment with the compensation of our existing team. We construct our compensation ranges based on the US national average but your pay may vary depending on your location and the cost of living index for that geographic area. In determining an offer, base salary will also be based on experience, qualifications, skills and market conditions. Please note pay ranges for major metropolitan areas may be different. National Pay Range $227,630 — $307,970 USD
