We are looking for a Data Analyst for our Risk Management & Platform Abuse team. This role reports to the Risk & Abuse team lead.
As a Data Analyst at Podium, you will work closely with team leadership to drive the Risk & Abuse team to be rigorously data-driven. The ideal candidate will have experience creating insights using data that impact the strategy and policy of a team or department.
What you will be doing:
Use advanced SQL skills to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets
Design and implement data visualizations dashboards in Tableau
Identify trends and insights in data to inform strategic business decisions
Ensure KPI reporting is clear and accurate and report regularly to internal stakeholders and leadership
Maintain risk alerts
Solve hard problems that are new to the company
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and solve complex business problems
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
What you should have:
Advanced SQL skills, including proficiency in complex queries, data modeling, and data integration
Proficient in Tableau or other data visualization tools, with ability to create thoughtful visualizations and dashboards
Strong analytical and statistical skills, with ability to identify patterns and trends in large sets of data
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to present complex data and analysis to non-technical audiences
What we hope you have:
Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
Experience in the financial, payments, or risk industry
Exposure to financial transactional structured and unstructured data, risk classification and credit risk modeling
Experience designing and building metrics, from conception to building prototypes with data pipelines
Proficient in other tools such as Python, R, SAS, etc.
