Human Interest is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to be responsible for a number of accounting processes and to perform routine financial reporting in support of banking and other audit requirements. Working closely with the Accounting Manager, primary responsibilities will include the preparation of bank transactions, vendor and non-vendor related accruals and ad-hoc reports, assisting with the accounts payable functions, and recording journal entries in support of the monthly close process.
What you get to do every day
Own the close process ( e.g. JE preparation, account reconciliations, etc.) for various balance sheet and income statement accounts, including cash, operating expenses and vendor accruals
Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting and analysis
Assist with ad-hoc system and process improvement projects in design, discovery, and testing
Support quarterly reviews and annual audits
Develop, support, and help maintain strong internal control policies and procedures as we continue to operationalize our overall close process
Work cross-functionally with FP&A, Technical Accounting and other cross-functional teams to successfully align on effective accrual processes
Participate in other assignments and ad hoc projects as required
What you bring to the role
3+ years of accounting experience in the SaaS/Tech industry experience is required
1+ years of experience in public accounting, Big 4 preferred
CPA is preferred
BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Advanced Excel skills is required
Experience with NetSuite is preferred
Strong problem solving and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment with the desire for continuous improvement
Must be able to work normal business hours in the PST time zone

Compensation - The salary range target for the role seniority described in this job description is $115,000 - $133,000 . Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, compensation/equity mix, and market data. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards, short-term incentives, or sales compensation.
