The team is responsible for supporting all cash investment activities across eBay’s global $5+bn of corporate and customer cash management activities. In addition, this team is responsible for the risk governance and controls which ensure the integrity of eBay’s treasury operations.Job Description:The responsibilities of this role will include three functions: Credit Analysis/Portfolio monitoring, Trade Support and Back Up TraderCredit Analysis/Portfolio monitoringWork with Portfolio Managers to continually analyze and evaluate portfolio positioning.Conduct economic, investment, and credit research to support investment and risk management decision-making.Analyze individual credits, portfolio credit risks, liquidity profiles, and relative value opportunities.Perform ongoing monitoring of the investment portfolio including risk reporting, investment memorandums, and asset allocation analysis.Partner with risk and treasury teams to increase automation, improve data quality, and create new trading tools.Ensure compliance with investment policy, corporate governance, and applicable regulatory standards.Assist with stress case and scenario testing across the enterprise to support accounting and regulatory requirements.Assist in preparation for business reviews and presentations to senior leadership.Trade SupportSupport the overall Fixed Income processes, working with Portfolio Manager, Cash, FX and operations teams to ensure seamless capital markets activityConduct various reconciliations of cash, positions, transactions, etc. with external and internal systems, platforms, and providersAssist with the month-end close process management and reportingCoordinate with eBay’s TOC, Accounting and FP&A teams to support performance reviews and forecastingAutomation of operational processes and procedures (utilization of Quantum preferred)Policy exception tracking and reportingBack Up TraderExecute trades as directed by the Portfolio ManagerAssist in managing daily investing activities for eBay’s investment portfolioStudy the market for investment opportunities, with focus on idea generation, sourcing securities and executionDevelop and maintain strong relationships with securities dealers to source investment opportunities.Work side-by-side with PM; communicate market sentiment and relevant technicalsJob Requirements:Possess a BS/BA degree (finance, economics, business preferred).2+yrs experience in a securities markets either in sales/trading or operationsDemonstrate knowledge of treasury, cash management, and accounting principles.Strong fundamental understanding of economic concepts, financial markets, monetary policy, asset allocation, and investment theoryExperience with corporate financial modeling and analytical projects, including the ability to demonstrate strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.Well-organized ability to prioritize and multi-task in a busy, multifaceted, and ever-changing environment.Motivated and able to think critically and implement ideas in a fast-changing environmentOwnership mentalityAbility to be in Austin Office 3+ days a weekAbility to work 7-4 CSTPreferred:2+yrs experience in a fixed income trading with focus on: Agency, Corporate, Taxable MunisExperience in financial modeling and financial analysisTechnology Requirements:Technical experience with Treasury Management Systems (i.e. Quantum/FIS)Ability to leverage systems or technology to automate processesSoftware: Bloomberg AIM, MarketAxessProficient in Microsoft Word, and PowerPointStrong Excel skills and experience with macros and pivot tablesBenefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
