Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.  Role Summary   Rivian is looking for a Sr. Commercial Fleet Operations Specialist to help manage our Commercial fleet vehicles and support operations readiness. The ideal candidate has the ability to think quickly on their feet and can creatively think outside the box to solve problems, complete appropriate documentation with excellent attention to detail, and improve processes. We are looking for a dedicated team player who is goal-oriented with a drive to hit deadlines and strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks while exercising good judgement to make business decisions with little supervision.   This is a fast-paced, dynamic role which requires a solution-oriented personality and a willingness to stay open-minded and adapt to quickly changing business needs.  Success means that you will develop a framework of processes de novo in support of our rapid growth and continuously develop systems to effectively communicate with a broad cross-functional group.  You will also need the ability to break down complex problems, develop creative and well-structured solutions, present to leadership, and steer the rollout process with active collaboration. Responsibilities Collaborates with Manager, Commercial Fleet Operations to identify and manage the weekly and daily vehicle allocation schedules from Rivian’s internal operating vehicles to ensure appropriate vehicle allocations, including meeting stakeholder requirements, objectives, and key SLA’s    Represents Fleet operations management and provides input at meetings and cross functional teams as required. In the absence of the Manager, Commercial Fleet Operations, assumes all duties and authority associated with that position   Reviews Fleet vehicle needs and can develop fleet replacement plans, drafts requirements specifications formatted for the allocation of vehicles. Support Executive requests and communications for high priority and confidential events with the ability to document experience, optimize processes, and communicate effectively. Exercises judgement within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.   Oversight management of post-event vehicle moves with internal and 3rd party logistics providers in response to move requests and repair/service requests to best position fleet vehicles for last mile of delivery in North America    Lead the development of processes and systems that will be used across the fleet organization to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase operational effectiveness. Analyzes, recommends, and implements improvements such as, but not limited to display vehicle standards, load in/out procedures. Ensures program compliance of Long-Term Requests, Short Term requests and communicates the needs frequently to Fleet team and stakeholders. Oversight management of Assigned Use cases to innovate use of our fleet via cross-functional collaboration with our Rivian partners Maintains close cohesive relationships and provides regular and accurate communication to other Rivian operations departments as needed; including, but not limited to – Sales Operations, Vehicle Operations, Service Operations, Engineering, Remarketing, Outbound Logistics, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Tax, Communication, Digital teams, and others. Support and mentor Fleet Coordinators on managing ordering, on-boarding/registration, shipment, charging, preparation, service/repair/maintenance, annual inspection, and retirement/disposal of vehicles throughout the lifecycle of the Commercial Fleet   Qualifications 5+ years’ experience in transportation or vehicle coordination; 3 to 5 years vehicle event and display management experience preferred   At least 21 years of age     Associates Degree or higher   Proficiency with computers and software including Microsoft Office, and ability to effectively navigate internal business platforms     Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of residence that you will be driving/ operating a vehicle (or state that you are commuting daily to/from) and possess an exceptional driving record    Ability to work a flexible schedule to support customers on nights, weekends and/or holidays; Ability and willingness to travel based on business needs to support other market launches and operations    No drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years; No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years; No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License within a 3–5-year period. Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring   Complete assignments with a high level of accuracy and embrace ambiguous situations     Ability to work in a fast-moving environment that changes constantly     Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks    Adaptable to a fast-paced and constantly changing environment     Ability to work autonomously and consistently with limited direction     Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California ( Irvine ) Based Applicants : [ $85,000 - $98,000 ] (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
