Search JobsJob DescriptionDuties: Serve as a technical product expert and technical lead on major opportunities and collaborate with the VMware sales team to understand customer requirements, promote the sale of company products, and provide technical support to prospective customers. Responsible for building sales pipeline with account team to achieve desired goal outcomes. Conduct executive customer briefings to understand their business needs. Transform business needs into IT needs by working with customer technical teams and internal extended teams. Align customer IT needs with VMware solutions. Conduct product demos, presentations, and technical workshops for customers. Create architecture for customer environment by understanding their IT goals and create future-ready architecture. Review future-ready architectures with customer teams and fill in the technical gaps for VMware solutions. Work with various VMware teams, such as storage, network, security, and end-user computing, to create a unified solution for customer needs. Conduct demos and workshops with partners to increase awareness of VMware solutions and build the sales pipeline. Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Assist customers in installing and configuring newer versions of VMware solutions. Lead and coordinate proof of concept of various VMware solutions in customer environment. Document, track and demonstrate VMware products solution success in a customer environment. Assist customers to stay up to date with environmental upgrades by doing bi-weekly, monthly or quarterly technical presentations. Lead pre-sales activities including discovery, opportunity evaluation, technical product demonstrations, competitive positioning, pilot support, and confer with customers.Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Computer information Systems, Information Technology or a related technical/quantitative field plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. In the alternative, employer will accept Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical/quantitative field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related position.Employer requires at least five (5) of the following skills gained through industry experience:Microsoft 365 tools and Agile Methodologies such as Scrum, JIRA, Kanban, and Basecamp ApplicationsCloud computing services such as IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS.Tableau, MS Excel Pivot Tables, or SharePoint .Bid management process and responding to technical request for proposals;Driving technical discussions, discovery workshops with customers, and mapping business requirements to product functionality;Solution design and setting up proof of concepts and pilots for priority and high volume customers;.Generating business case justification, PRDs and KPIs specifications.*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S. Travel required 40% of the time within the U.S. Multiple openings.
