This is a great opportunity for someone who likes to start new things and put their mark on a team and companySuccess in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?The primary objective of this position is to strategically plan and execute company wide OHS program by developing and deploying OHS standards, policies, procedures and guidance as requiredYou will need to orchestrate global OHS coverage through effective collaboration with internal teams/specialists and external partners.You will be expected to lead on streamlining / standardising OHS workstreams globally e.g. medical health surveillance, external reporting, etc.Identify and onboard a global, competent and scalable OHS consultancy to provide the required SME support to local stakeholdersIdentify, develop and maintain a central repository of OHS documentation, processes and practices in partnership with OHS SMEs and inline with H&S management repository frameworkThe Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?You will serve as the company’s lead OHS subject matter expert on all technical and regulatory aspects, OHS standards, and best practices.Oversee the occupational health regulatory compliance program to ensure compliance with applicable local, regional, national and federal occupational health regulations, directives and standardsProactively engage and collaborate with the OHS SMEs to support the OHS activities carried out by the Regional HR TeamsPartner with key stakeholders to mitigate, prevent or control occupational health risks arising from operations and help develop and deploy suitable risk mitigation measuresDevelop analytics and reports based on KPIs / metrics to help identify preventive measures and create data driven programsProvide comprehensive OHS risk analysis and risk management actionsLead continuous improvement actions, programs or processes to influence key business decisions as well as functional and operational OHS strategiesGlobal budget planning and management aligned to risk-based prioritiesWhat is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?This role reports to the Director of Global Health & Safety Governance. The core team is made up of Regional EHS SMEs, Global H&S program manager and Regional HR in the various locations across the globe. This role will also partner very closely with HR for process excellence, compliance and risk.Where is this role located?Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager.
