Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? VMware’s success is based on implementing a unified approach to ensure that we can support our customers through their journey to success. In this role, you will be expected to help improve the customer experience not only during the opportunity to deal stage of the sales cycle but also during the deployment and beyond. This requires various functional organizations including but not limited to product management, R&D, sales, professional services, technical support, and customer success, to implement a seamless and efficient engagement model. You will be responsible for ensuring that all the functional organizations are well-aligned and collaborating with various technology partners to ensure customer success. The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? As a Customer Engagement Manager, you will play a lead role in program managing various types of customer programs including but not limited to Demos, Proof-of-Concepts and Trials during pre-sales stage of the customer journey. Once the customer has purchased our platform / solution, you will be responsible for monitoring the health of the customer experience through the deployment phase by working closely with the deployment Team and various internal functional organization to provide any escalated support they might need. During the ongoing operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that the customer satisfaction is at its best while using VMware’s platform and solution. You will streamline the engagement model between Customer and VMware to further improve the customer satisfaction. You will be the single point of contact for various functional organizations within VMware to get escalated support from the Service Provider & Edge Business Unit. In your role, you will be required to engage cross functionally across key organizations of customer, VMware, and Partners. From time to time, you will also be responsible for leading various solution validation and other programs within VMware. What is the leadership like for this role?
